About No.15 Kitchen
Cookies for you, meals for others.
Melanie Lee Lockhart founded No. 15 Kitchen in 2021 after having learned to bake and decorate sugar cookies through online courses during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Melanie had no previous baking training beyond 8th grade home ec class. But the sugar cookies she started making for family and friends during the pandemic grew popular…and soon, she was getting inquiries about cookie orders.

With parenting, a full-time job, and freelance work already on her schedule, Melanie wasn’t looking for another “business.” Instead, she established No. 15 Kitchen to create a way for her new hobby to feed people in Winnipeg who need help.
Now, she and her partner-in-cookieing, Tracey Seida, create cookie sets for occasions ranging from corporate events to weddings, from baby showers to birthdays, and from special fundraisers to afternoon tea.
Every cent No. 15 Kitchen’s clients pay for their cookies goes directly to a community charity helping people live healthier and more comfortable lives.
We are grateful to No. 15 Kitchen’s webmaster, Rachel Wilson, for creating and managing this friendly online space where our generous donors connect with us and order endlessly interesting and creative treats.
